Privacy Policy

ExploreGo is an independent UK travel discovery website. This policy describes the currently available website features. For privacy enquiries contact contact@explorego.uk. ExploreGo is the public-facing trading name for a planned sole-trader operation. The operator's full legal identity, business address where required and any additional mandatory business details must be confirmed and published before full commercial launch.

Information and purposes

When you enter destination, travel dates, party size or budget, the website uses those details in your browser to prepare a travel search summary. If you choose an external search, your browser opens Google Search with relevant travel criteria in the search URL; Google's privacy terms then apply. No bookings or payments are taken by ExploreGo.

Saved destinations and trip ideas are stored in your browser's local storage so they remain available on the same device. You can remove individual selections on the website, or clear the website's local storage using your browser settings. We do not currently offer visitor accounts or store these lists in our own database.

Business enquiry forms open a draft in your own email app addressed to ExploreGo. No enquiry is sent until you choose to send the email. If you email us, your email provider and ours process your address and message so we can reply. Do not include payment card or sensitive personal information.

Legal basis and retention

Where UK GDPR applies, processing enquiries is generally based on our legitimate interest in responding to messages or taking steps requested before a potential business arrangement. Locally saved trip preferences are provided at your request. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry and any applicable legal obligations; a fixed retention schedule is not yet established.

Hosting, cookies and third parties

The website is hosted using Floot. Infrastructure services may process IP addresses, browser details and security logs needed to operate and protect the site. We have not independently verified all hosting logs, analytics, cookies or third-party scripts; this policy must be reviewed when those settings are confirmed. External websites including Google and potential travel partners operate under their own privacy policies.

Travelpayouts affiliate tracking

ExploreGo offers an optional Travelpayouts Drive integration. If you select “Accept affiliate tracking” in our privacy choices, your browser loads a third-party script from tp-em.com. Travelpayouts and its partners may then process technical identifiers, browsing or referral information and use cookies or similar technologies to attribute eligible bookings and calculate affiliate commissions. ExploreGo does not load this script before your affirmative choice. Rejecting it does not prevent you from browsing ExploreGo. You can revisit “Privacy choices” at any time; withdrawing consent stops further script loading after a page reload, but cannot automatically erase cookies already set by third parties. Review the Travelpayouts privacy information and your browser's cookie controls for further details.

Your choice is saved locally on your device so we can remember your preference. The optional script is separate from Floot's own analytics and hosting services. The exact third-party cookies and data recipients should be verified before commercial launch.

Google Analytics 4

If you accept optional tracking, ExploreGo loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, engagement and outbound link interactions. Google may process device and usage information and set cookies or similar identifiers. GA4 does not load when you reject optional tracking. You can change your choice using Privacy choices in your profile; rejecting after previously accepting reloads the page to stop further analytics events. This does not erase data already received by Google. See Google's privacy information for details.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable UK data protection law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to certain processing or ask for restriction. Contact contact@explorego.uk with your request. You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
